My name is Anuj Khurana and in today’s lesson, we are going to discuss about 15 words which are related to our family, our family members and our relationships.
Title: 15 Must-Know Family Words.
1. परिवार
(Parivaar)
“Family”
में अपने परिवार से बहुत प्यार करता हूँ।
(Mein apne parivar se bahuT pyaar karta hoon.)
“I love my family a lot.”
2. Our next word is,
पिता
(piTaa)
which means, “father”
मेरे पिताजी का नाम राम है।
(Mere pitaji ka naam Ram hai.)
“My father's name is Ram.”
3. पति
(paTii)
which means “husband”
पति कभि-कभि अपनी पत्नी के लिए खाना बनाता है|
(paTi kabhii-kabhii apaNii paTNii ke Liye khaaNaa baNaa Taa hai.)
“At times, husband cooks for his wife.”
4. Our next word is,
बेटा
(Beta)
Which means, “Son”
डेविड अपने परिवार में इक्लोता बेटा है।
(David apne parivar mein iklota betaa hai.)
“David is the only son in his family.”
5. भाई
(Bhaaii)
“Brother”
मेरा भाई मुझे बहुत सताता है।
(meraa bhaaii mujhe bahuT SaTaaTaa hai.)

“Daughter”
मेरी बेटी दो वर्ष की है|
(merii betii Do vars kii hai.)
“My daughter is two years old.”
11. बहन
(bahaN)
“sister”
मेरी एक बहन है।
(meri ek bahan hai)
“I have one sister.”
12. पत्नी
(paTNii)
“wife”
यह राहुल की पत्नी है|
(yah raahuL kii paTNii hai.)
“She is Rahul’s wife.”
13. सास
(SaaS)
“mother-in-law”
मेरी सास घर पर हैं।
(merii SaaS ghar par hain.)
“My mother-in-law is at home.”
14. दादी
(DaaDii)
“Grandmother”
मेरी दादी बहुत चुस्त है।
(merii DaaDii bahuT cuST hai.)
“My grandmother is very energetic.”
15. चाची / मामी
(CaaCii / maamii)
Which means “Aunt”
मेरी चाची को पीले फूल पसंद है|
(meree chaachee ko peele phul pasand hai.)
“My aunt likes yellow flowers.”
