All the best!
Your observation is indeed correct. It is necessary to learn all numbers from 1 to 100 in Hindi. There may be some similarities in various groups of tens, but for someone who is new to Hindi, this isn't always obvious.
If you browse through the Lesson Library, you will find lessons on numbers from 1-100 there, depending on which series you are working on currently.
I hope this helps!
👍 Danyaavad. In English the wording for the numbers are different. We count in tens but in Hindi it is different making it difficult to learn. I agree with Steve Herzfeld. Why do some Hindi teachers only teach numbers from 1-10 and not 1-100?
This has always been a problem for me because people or apps that claim to teach the Hindi numbers fail to admit that one has to learn 100 separate numbers as there is no repeating system within the groups of 10 as there are in English. I find Hindi the numbers are even more difficult than the French system (not used in Switzerland and Belgium) where 70 is "sixty-ten", 80 is "four-twenty", and 90 is "four-twenty-ten".
Can you explain why people teaching Hindi never seem to attempt to actually teach the student to count from 1 to 100 ?
Thanks for your query!
