Hello, namaste. Welcome to hindipod101.com, the easiest, smartest and the most fun way of learning Hindi online. I am Anuj Khurana and today, we are going to discuss about 10 Different Ways of Saying Hello in Hindi. So let’s begin.
1. सुप्रभात
(SuprabhaaT)
“Good morning.”
सुप्रभात
(SuprabhaaT)
Which means, “Good morning.”
"सुप्रभात, आपका दिन मंगलमय हो।
“Good morning, you have a good day ahead."
2. नमस्ते
(NamaSTe)
“Hello.”
Next way of saying hello is नमस्ते (NamaSTe).
You must have seen me so many times doing this नमस्ते (NamaSTe). This is an Indian way of saying hello. So if you want to greet someone in Hindi, you can just say,
नमस्ते (NamaSTe).
नमस्ते (NamaSTe) which is an Indian version of it.
3. आपसे मिलकर खुशी हुई
(aapSe milkar khusii huii)
“Happy to meet you.”
If you are happy meeting someone, you can just say,
आपसे मिलकर खुशी हुई
(aapSe milkar khusii huii)
“Happy to meet you.”
4. और क्या हो रहा है?
(aur kyaa ho rahaa hai?)
“So, what are you up to?”
If you are meeting someone after long, you can just ask,
और क्या हो रहा है?
(aur kyaa ho rahaa hai?)
“So, what are you up to?”
और क्या हो रहा है?
(aur kyaa ho rahaa hai?)
5. आप कैसे हैं?
(aap kaiSe hain?)
“How are you?”
Another way of greeting or maybe asking someone that how they are doing. It is,
आप कैसे हैं?
(aap kaiSe hain?) which means,
“how are you?”
आप कैसे हैं?
(aap kaiSe hain?)
6. सब कुछ कैसा चल रहा है?
(Sab kuch kaiSaa caL rahaa hai?)
“So, how are things going on with you?”
Another version of saying hello or asking that how you are doing is,
सब कुछ कैसा चल रहा है?
(Sab kuch kaiSaa caL rahaa hai?)
“So, how are things going on with you?”
7. आपका दिन कैसा चल रहा है?
(aapkaa DiN kaiSaa cal rahaa hai?)
“How's your day going so far?”
Another way of asking that how your day is going,
आपका दिन कैसा चल रहा है?
(aapkaa DiN kaiSaa cal rahaa hai?)
“How is your day going so far?”
8. सब कैसा चल रहा है?
(Sab kaiSaa cal rahaa hai?)
“So, how are things with you?”
Another way of asking that how things are going,
सब कैसा चल रहा है?
(Sab kaiSaa cal rahaa hai?)
“So, how are things with you?”
9. शुभ संध्या|
(subh SaNDHyaa.)
“Good evening.”
संध्या (SaNDHyaa) means “evening”
शुभ संध्या|
(subh SaNDHyaa.)
Which means, “good evening”
10. आपसे मिलकर ख़ुशी हुई।
(aapaSe miLakar acchaa Lagaa.)
“Good to meet you.”
Another way of greeting each other is,
आपसे मिलकर ख़ुशी हुई।
(aapaSe miLakar acchaa Lagaa.)
“Good to meet you.”
So these were the different ways of greeting each other, saying hello to each other in Hindi or maybe you can say, this is an Indianized way of greeting each other.
