HideHi everyone! kya aapne apni tasveer khinchwaayi? Did you get your picture clicked?
Hi Sabina,
That's a good question. You would say:
"क्या मैं आपकी फोटो ले सकता/सकती हूँ?" ["सकता SakTaa" for male speakers, "सकती SakTii" for female speakers]
"kyaa main aapkii foto le SakTaa/SakTii huun?"
'May I take a photo of you?'
Thank you for your question!
Cheers,
Udita

And how would you ask for permission to take a picture of someone? What does "May I take a picture of you?" in Hindi mean?
Hello Anthony,
That was perfect Hindi sentence but so not true:grin::sweat_smile::laughing:

Hello Shawn,
That is funny. Imagine the whole group shouting 'paneeerr'. I will try that next time :sweat_smile:

पनीर कहो!
paneer kaho!
Say Cheese
नमस्ते शौन,
Hi Shawn,
यह बात सच है।
That is true.
मैं ने सुना है कि कभी कभी तस्वीर खींचवाने में 'पनीर' बोला जाता है। :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I have heard that sometimes in getting photos taken 'paneer' is said.
Maybe Neha and Anthony the person taking the picture should shout Paneer! (पनीर!) instead of cheese. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Hi Anthony,
That is so not true:laughing:
Cheese:smile::smile:
Cheers,
Neha

जब हिंदुस्तानी लोग ने अपनी तस्वीर खींचवायी तो वे अक्सर तस्वीर में मुस्कराते नहीं हैं।
When Indian people get their photo taken they often don't smile in the photo.
वह क्यों है?
Why is that?
Namaste! Instead of Throwback Thursday, please consider introducing an intermediate series. I studied this lesson the first time around. Thanks!
