John: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:

Shakti: पापड़ बेलना
John: literally meaning "to flatten papadums, wafer-thin breads." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to try hard."

John: literally meaning "to give a pill." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to deceive."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to say that someone is deceiving or has deceived you, or someone is lying or faking something.

Shakti: टेढ़ी उंगली से घी निकालना
John: literally meaning "to take out clarified butter, you need to curve your finger." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to do a difficult task by all means."
Shakti: [SLOW] टेढ़ी उंगली से घी निकालना [NORMAL] टेढ़ी उंगली से घी निकालना

John: Use this slang expression when you want to refer to a task that cannot be done in a straightforward way, and some other means has to be used. The closest English equivalent is "by hook or by crook."

John: literally meaning "quickly." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "quickly."
