Hi Jamie,

Thanks for sharing your answer! It was quite good!

Just add "ko" (on) in the middle and you will have a perfectly formed sentence. Like this

Vah satrah joon ko hai.

All the best!

का kaa is a Postposition. This means that it is placed after the noun. For example,

राम का घर raam ka ghar - Ram's house

Just like the Possessive Pronouns, का kaa changes to के ke when whats ‘owned’ is Masculine Plural and it changes to की kee when what’s owned is Feminine. Remember that it changes depending on what’s owned and not on who is ‘doing the owning’! For example…

सीता के बच्चे seeTa ke bachhe- Sita's children. Here 'bachhe' are masculine plural so we used 'ke'

Another example,

लड़के की किताब ladke kee kitaab - The boy’s book

Well again we use की kee because किताब kitaab - book is a feminine noun.

Hope the difference is clear now:smile:

Cheers,

Neha

वह चार जनवरी है।

It is January 4th.

I have a question about the placement of का/के/की. Especially in phrases using verbal nouns, like "working weather" for instance. Would the sentence be मोसम का काम करने? Or how would you phrase that?

Thanks!
